Robert A. Weissman, an attorney with twenty five years of experience who currently represents general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in pending cases filed in Courts throughout the State of California, will teach you how to take advantage of your remedies under the Mechanicsâ Lien law. You will learn about Preliminary Notices, Mechanicsâ Liens, Stop Notices, Payment Bond Claims, claims under the Miller Act and Waiver and Release Forms. The focus of his lecture is to explain the various statutes so that you can take full advantage of your rights and remedies available.

After his lecture on the law, we will show you how to complete some of the forms commonly used, including the Preliminary Notice, Mechanicsâ Lien, Stop Notice, Notice to Surety and the Waiver and Release Forms, including instructions on mailing and/or recording each document.

All attendees will received a seminar package with a summary of the law and forms you can actually use. Questions and participation is encouraged.
